About Lisa Raney, LMHC

Welcome to Lisa Raney Therapy. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Neuropsychotherapist, I believe that prioritizing mental health is essential for achieving happiness and stability in life. Acknowledging the need for help can be one of the most challenging decisions to make, so I commend you for taking that important step. I have been practicing since 2006. My specialization lies in Neuropsychology, which involves exploring the relationship between our brain and behavior, as well as understanding the reasons behind our thoughts and feelings. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including health and wellness, stress management, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges. I have also helped many people over the years establish a strong sense of self worth, healthier habits and lifestyles. I also am a Certified Mental Health and Integrative Medicine Provider. Over the years, a lot of my work has centered around motivating ourselves to do the "tough stuff" - lose weight, be open and honest about who we are, tackle our inner dialogue, boost self-confidence, etc.

My counseling style is compassionate, warm and interactive. It takes a lot of courage to open up about thoughts, feelings and beliefs and I respect anyone who includes that as part of their personal journey. I believe in treating anyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral and realistic problem solving modalities. I will design our sessions and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek a more fulfilling lifestyle and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
